G4 Spatial Technologies (formerly Miller Blueprint Surveying Department) and Easy Drive Stake announce merger of operations and partnership with Geomatic Resources.

GALVESTON, Texas, October 5, 2018 -- Today at the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS) Convention, G4 Spatial Technologies and Easy Drive Stake announced an agreement to merge operations. In partnership with Geomatic Resources, the combined staff and stores will offer a broad range of Surveying and Construction measurement solutions and supplies with expert technical support and repair service as well as fast delivery throughout Texas and Oklahoma. This powerful combination was made possible by recent purchase agreements that resulted in new common ownership among industry veterans Rodney Walsh, Donnie Steele, and John Clark. Going forward Rodney will lead the overall partnership and manage the North Texas and Oklahoma region with Jamie Gillis, RPLS, PLS, John will manage Central Texas, and Donnie will manage South Texas. These agreements allow Bob Miller to retire from G4 (formerly Miller Blueprint Surveying Department) and rejoin his family business Miller IDS. Wayne Rodriguez will transition to the role of CFO in the new organization.

“We are extremely excited about the G4 acquisition of Easy Drive Stake finally bringing together the two great companies in south Texas! Adding to the existing G4 partnership with Geomatic Resources in north Texas, a longtime dream is realized. So great to be on the same Leica Geosystems team again with Donnie and John! Having Wayne stay on as CFO is also a very welcomed component here, and we thank Bob Miller for being such a professional throughout t his whole process.” said Rodney Walsh.

“This is an exciting time in the life of G4 as we join forces with Easy Drive and its team and expand our customer base all while providing the excellent service that G4 and Easy Drive customers have grown to appreciate. For me, this is bigger than a merging of companies, it is a vision coming alive right before our eyes driven by a passion to reach all across Texas providing solutions and service to the Surveying and Construction community.” said Donnie Steele.

“It is great to be working with Rodney and Donnie again, continuing our friendship as a partnership serving the Surveying, Engineering, and Construction professionals of Texas. Together again at TSPS Galveston 2018 as we were as Team Leica at TSPS El Paso 1999. We are honored by the faith Bob and Wayne have placed in us to continue the legacy of their family businesses. We will work every day to be worthy of what their fathers and grandfathers built” said John Clark, PE.

The new partnership will feature the full range of Leica Geosystems solutions and repair services from factory trained repair technicians. The stores in Austin, San Antonio, and Irving will be stocked with a wide variety of accessories and high quality supplies. The Austin and San Antonio stores will operate under the G4 name, with all stores featuring the famous Easy Drive Stakes that will continue to be made in the same facility in San Antonio as they have since 1950.
